Record-Breaking Swims
*The following swimmers broke Hermitage Swim Team Records.
Hermitage Country Club Swim Team Records are kept as meters records.
Any time swum in yards is converted . In the event that a converted yards time ties or betters a current record in meters, both times are held as record times until the time is broken in a meters pool.
As Ginter Park is a yards pool, CYT notes a yards time from last night's meet that has been converted to meters.
Amelia Chen, Girls 11-12 50 Fly, 30.73 CYT beats her own meters record of 31.72

Coach's Corner
Thank you Hurricanes, swimmers, parents, and siblings, for helping last night’s meet run as smoothly as possible! I know away meets are difficult, but last night I witnessed some of the best team comradery I’ve seen since being a coach. While I stood at the end of the pool, there was always a group of swimmers standing with me cheering on their teammates, most of them ones they didn’t know. A team is a group forming on one side to compete for a common goal and throughout this year I’ve seen the Hurricanes really embrace the meaning of a team, forming bonds, being their for their teammates, and competing to the best of their ability. Thank you all for making my job so enjoyable.
We are already halfway through the season and that blows my mind! But although we are halfway through, there is still a lot of room to grow and achieve goals, so let’s make the rest of this season count!

Hurricanes of the Week
Anna Grace Broughton
Anna Grace earned a Champs Qualifying time, swam her first 100 IM with the Hurricanes, and was a great cheerleader for her teammates! It is great to see swimmers (like Anna Grace) trying new events and being great supporters of their fellow swimmers. Way to go, Anna Grace!
Will Fisher
Will is always practicing hard to be successful in his events. He is excited with whatever events he is chosen to swim and gives it everything he has. Will stepped up as the relays were shuffled around at the end of the night and swam an excellent 50 FR split in his 15-18 relay. Great job, Will!
